Lloyd Matthew Haines, President 

Mr. Haines moved to Ashland, Oregon in 1983, and after a brief stint running a hot dog stand, began developing and redeveloping property in southern Oregon. Prior to that, he practiced law in Livermore, California with Haines & Walker after receiving his JD from Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law.  A New York City native, Haines' interest in restoring historic structures and beautifying Ashland by creating interesting and art-filled spaces has included ventures such as the Ashland Creek Walk, The Shasta Building, The Ashland Creek Building, condominiums, and various public arts projects, including the "We are Here" Sculpture (2006), and the Ashland Creek Art Walk (2007).  Haines' current passion is the development of The Sanctuary in the Applegate Valley, where animals, people, and the land are brought into harmony. Lloyd is the “father” of two dogs and two cats, and “godfather” to the Sanctuary’s animals.

Mark Heminger, Vice President 

In his 15 years in marketing and advertising, Mark has executed campaigns in local, regional and national media for Blockbuster Video, Wal-Mart, and other industry leaders. Formerly a managing partner/creative director at CHRW Advertising, and a senior copywriter at R&R Partners Advertising, Las Vegas, Mark has extensive experience in all advertising mediums. He has garnered various industry accolades, including three National Addy’s, two Telly’s, and numerous local and regional advertising awards. His work has been published various industry awards annuals, such as Communication Arts Design Annual, and Lurzer’s Archive International. Mark served as a ‘Big Brother’ with the Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation for six years, and worked on campaigns for No More Homeless Pets, The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, and The Pet Connection. He volunteered in Mississippi following Hurricane Katrina, and has served as a foster human for many critters.

Patricia Davis, Treasurer

A Columbus, Ohio native, Patricia arrived in southern Oregon in 2002 after living in California while working as an accountant for Fluor Engineering & Construction.  Patricia was so impressed with the quality of life this area affords that she began work as the controller for John L. Scott Real Estate in 2002, and in 2004, became a John L. Scott real estate broker.  Patricia's past employment includes Vice President of the Professional Exchange Association Mgmt., and serving as the Executive Director for: Fresno/Madera Medical Society, the AmericanCollege of Foot & Ankle Orthopedics & Medicine, and the Central California Psychiatric Society.  Her son, Ryan, is an Avionics Contractor; and her daughter, Brooke, is in the Armed Forces and has been deployed to Iraq.  Patricia's three furry kids are her cats, Ralphie, Molly and Hobo.

Kiz Raddeman, Secretary

Kiz has been a resident of Oregon for nine years.  She graduated from Madison Area Technical College in Madison, Wisconsin with an associate degree in Veterinary Technology.  Once in Oregon she obtained a BA in Business Management from Southern Oregon University.  Kiz is a Certified Veterinary Technician and practice manager at Jacksonville Veterinary Hospital.  She enjoys spending time with her three rescued animals as well as hiking, reading, golfing, camping, and gardening. 

Lin Bernhardt, Environmental Planner

Lin's professional experience spans local, regional, and state government, private consulting, and teaching at Marylhurst University and elsewhere. Currently an environmental planner/project manager in Medford, Oregon, she began her career as a park planner for the Bend Metro Park and Recreation District. Lin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Land Use Planning, a Master of Science in Geography (emphasis in environmental planning) from Oregon State University, and also earned a bachelors degree at Northern Arizona University. Lin's avocation includes activities that connect her to the natural world; especially it's furred, feathered, and finned inhabitants.

Stephanie Roland

Originally from the Eugene area, Stephanie moved to southern Oregon in 1997, and earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Business Administration from Southern Oregon University in 2001. She was employed by SOU Hannon Library for six years, eventually serving as Assistant to the Library Director and managing the Friends of Hannon Library. Currently a Development Associate with Ashland Community Hospital Foundation, Ms. Roland volunteers as an adoption captain with the Friends of the Animal Shelter (FOTAS). She is authorized to handle dog and cat adoptions from the shelter or at offsite events.
